Damn you, [livejournal.com profile] overload74, damn you and your evil music quiz!
  1. This train don't stop at the stations of the cross "Bloodless" by Tom McRae - found by [livejournal.com profile] life_of_tom
  2. Those creatures jumped the barricades and headed for the sea, "Belong" by REM - Overloaded again...
  3. The occultation of a summer sun was burning holes in everyone "Please Stand Up" - British Sea Power
  4. Say goodbye to the good old days with your crooked smile and your crooked ways "Everything is not OK" by Miles Hunt - spotted by [livejournal.com profile] shanks01
  5. Come January I swear this world Won't be the one That we once lived on "Sworn and Broken" - Screaming Trees
  6. I only want the same as anyone Henderson is waiting for the sun"Rain King" by Counting Crows - [livejournal.com profile] life_of_tom running neck and neck with the Overload.
  7. We was camping down the Gower one time the work was pretty good "Beeswing" - Richard Thompson
  8. You showed me mirkwood and milkwood and silkwood and you would if I would but you never would "Horses" by Tori Amos. Spotted by the Overload himself
  9. An agony waiting for someone to tell you to shut up
  10. "Love Doesn't Belong" - American Music Club (artist guessed by the Overload)
  11. Delaval is a terrible place "Blackleg Miner" - Traditional, but I like the Steeleye Span version from "Back In Line"
Some of those are a little obscure, I suppose. In fact most of them are a little obscure, some of them are very obscure. To guess them all will surely earn you a place among the mighty.

Nope. Couldn't be much further away unless the musiciverse is a n-dimensional super-sphere in which case you could be so far away that you are actually quite close in the opposite direction.

7 and 9 are the two that I will be most surprised if anyone gets.

Probably you have been listening to 6 Music lately. I think it's the only one on the list that came out in the last few years.

Lemsip kicking in. Brain functioning with more clarity.

Number 2 is "Belong" by REM.

I suspect number nine is something by American Music Club, though all my albums of theirs are on tape and far away from me, and I haven't listened to their stuff for some time.

One of these will be a British Sea Power song, though I'm buggered if I can spot it.

One correct, six is very nearly correct but not the title. I believe the name is a Saul Bellow reference.

Seven is not Steeleye Span, it's not even Trad Arr. Span...

I never wrote down the song title when I taped it off you, sadly.
