I got tagged...
9 March 2010 22:19First: If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new question.
Second: Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that.
Lots of pillows or just one?
Lots, or at least two. Typically with an arm under it.
What kind of books do you read?
Lots of genre stuff - Fantasy, Science Fiction and occasional Historical fiction if it's good. Also books on horses and horsemanship.
What's the weirdest thing you've seen today?
The look on little Dovetail pony's face when I was giving her scratchy grooming- her nose poking right up in the air, top lip wobbling and bottom teeth bared.
What is the best lesson you've ever learned?
Edit: oops forgot to answer this one!
Looking confident is enough most of the time.
What's really creepy?
Old men letching at young girls.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Horses is my central one, also a bit of fandom for B5, Emmy The Great, the Malazan Book Of The Fallen going on, but lately less of that.
Do you prefer your junk food sweet, salty or savory?
Savoury, no question.
What websites do you always visit when you go online?
LJ, Gmail, Facebook, Horsey messageboard.
What was the last thing you bought?
A new jacket and jumper. Oh, no, wait. The last thing I bought was probably some vegetables and salad.
What is your greatest fear?
Running out of time. Death. That death is an absolute full stop.
Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?
Infrequently. Sometimes coffee.
What do you do to change your mood?
Riding my pony or being around horses in general. Playing music.
What was the last meal you ate?
Casserole with rice, carrots and broccoli.
Do you want to learn another language?
Yes, I would like to be proficient in French. German is also practical and I feel like if I'm going to be British I should really know the British languages.
Five things you can't live without.
Find the closest book currently sitting near you and flip to page 36. What is the first sentence of the second paragraph?
Roughly equidistant from a bunch of books so I think I'll go for this...
"Since the horse has become familiar with rein action and head position as a result of this exercise, we now mount up and with quiet, alternating pulls, we ask again."
What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?
You're doing the right thing, it will be alright.
What are you looking forward to?
There's a lot to look forward to this year but for some reason I haven't really started to look forward to it yet. I think when this cough that has been pissing me off all year so far actually passes I'll maybe feel a bit more positive about the world.
Was looking forward to doing a longish ride later in the year, taking a week out and doing the south downs, but it's looking a bit as though that's going to be rather awkward - a bridge on the trail is going to be closed all summer and the only way round is to box up and be driven - so that may have to be put back until next year.
So, paying it forward:

Date: 10 Mar 2010 00:50 (UTC)Perhaps the answer is you just need to go riding in another country. Like France perhaps. :)
Also, I thought *I* was the only one who ate casserole with just rice & veggies...
