Bad face day
10 July 2006 22:33So this morning I woke up with one side of may face in a whole world of hurt. Turns out I have some kind of boil happening inside my left ear. I can't open my mouth far enough to eat anything solid or ennunciate and I have slept for most of the day. The Doctor gave me some strong anti-biotics and I'm kind of hoping that they will have kicked in before I have to play a gig in Bath tomorrow night. If I just concentrate on the sleeping I'm sure I'll be fine.
We've got a few gigs ahead of our single release at the end of the month ( download-only, so brace your copy of ITunes ) - on Thursday we are at St Albans, playing back at The Horn.
In other news, the gig on Saturday was really good fun, even if it did work mostly as a demonstration of how many bum notes one bass player can play. We may have found our drummer- one of the people from the first round of auditions is coming back next Sunday to have another play, and I'm still nervous that we're going to die at Wolvestock. The stuff about playing the festival includes the words "NO ROCK!" We're going to have to be careful we don't rock by mistake...
