Distractions

Any connoisseur of early nineties indie will have found memories of the beautiful and innovative greatness of The Boo Radleys' classic Giant Steps album. They went off the boil later with Wake Up although their last album is allegedly very good, although I've not heard it. Their guitarist (and main songwriter) Martin Carr still releases material under the Brave Captain name and the most recent Brave Captain album can be freely downloaded from their website. After listening to a little over half of it, I can certainly say it's worth downloading - the songwriting is distinctive and still strong although the setting is much more electronic even than some of the earlier Brave Captain material.
