Radio 2 was playing a great documentary on Richard Thompson, ultimate guitar hero (tm) this evening (listen againable). He's still the best guitarist in the world and hearing about the creation of some of the records that have had the biggest influence on me was fascinating. In fact Radio 2 has been doing pretty well at the moment- they also have Bruce Dickinson presenting a regular rock show, a Justin Hawkins documentary on Aerosmith this Saturday (pretty much required listening for Lou) and they have cunningly recreated my favourite radio show ever by giving Mark Radcliffe a free rein on his graveyard shift programme. Either they're no longer just for old folks or I'm getting old...
