The lorry was supposed to be plated today. But when they went to take it for it's test the clutch failed. Once again we were booked to take it on a clinic this weekend, but this time we were planning to take Donk and we don't know how he travels so we're not able to put him in someone else's lorry.

And we have a lorry that doesn't work, that is probably only good for scrap and we have still paid upwards of a grand for repairs working with the idea we would have transport for the weekend and then probably get back what we spent on selling it with a year's plate directly afterwards. Now we may have to cough up for repairs and still scrap the lorry and have no way to get to the clinic or to afford it if we could get there.

I just don't understand how things can keep on going wrong without respite. You kind of feel like there should be some point where it lets up and stops being so constantly stressful, but we haven't found it yet. I really don't know what to do.

It's as though God has taken a personal dislike to [livejournal.com profile] sleepsy_mouse and is doing everything in his redoubtable insane power to make her life as difficult as possible. I guess, from all I've read that this is exactly the kind of thing that God likes to do, so maybe that is the explanation.

Could be gods, y'know.

Pantheons of the buggers!

..all led by Jeff, god of biscuits, that misguided deity.

Man, I hate that bad stuff constantly happens to good people.

Dave's Dad's been having all sorts of hassle getting their box sorted too.

They're a nightmare, they really are. We needed to spend more money than we did on ours when we bought it, but we bought cheap and then had to fix up expensive. It's going to take me years to settle this debt up, unfortunately. I'm gutted.

We need one pretty badly right now.

It was a good plan, though. If God didn't hate us so much it would have made for a really great couple of weeks.

Sorry your plans for this clinic got scrapped on top of Small being sick all summer, and then sick again, and then the lorry again. :(

I am glad no mention of hospitals, dying people, or dying horses was made. And yes, I am one of those people who reminds everyone about the starving people in Ethiopia. But I do also feel your pain. It's been a long 6 months or so hasn't it?

Frankly at this point it's only a matter of time. By and large I'm a pretty positive person, but right now I'm getting quite effectively worn down and this tunnel feels longer than the light is bright.

It has been a heck of a long six months. Last weekend was pretty cool, which is probably the main thing buoying me up right now.

No question. I sort of feel like we're owed a bit of something positive.
