Further edumacation
5 January 2008 22:25This morning we were late to the yard and the boys' breakfast hay didn't arrive on time. They weren't impressed. Pictures to follow.
In the afternoon we had another lesson with Julian, where we got to ride a different horse and do a lot of sitting trot ( still on the lunge, still without stirrups ) which was very interesting. The horse we were riding was much more bouncy and full of springs than the one we've had for previous lessons so it was a much bigger movement to work with and required more from us. By the end I was starting to really get the feel of the pace and sometimes feel that I was right in the middle of the movement- occasionally I was getting away from the ideal time but there was none of that jarring failure that I have experienced in the past when I've tried to do this.
sleepsy_mouse, meanwhile, was looking amazing and managing to do brilliantly in spite of a dodgy back.
