He is here

Zorro has come to stay. He was understandably a bit jumpy when he arrived but he seems to have settled quite well. It's late so I'm just going to post a couple of pictures...

He met Joe over the fence, they arched their necks, touched noses, squeaked once and went off to graze.

Joe was so excited that he splashed his nose in the drinking trough. I think he stung his mouth eating stinging nettles in his new field and was trying to sooth it. Either way it was very amusing. Zorro really wasn't sure what he thought but the splashing game appeared to appeal and he started joining in. Or possibly he had been eating nettles in his bit of the field too.

Yay! *hugs* So happy for you!

That photo of Joe in the water is great. I think the boys will get on very well together.

Zorro is I think a tiny bit bigger - he's a hand higher and a similar width, but they are both big boys by cob standards. When Joe was at the vet they put him on a proper weighbridge and he came in at 576 kilos...

I think they'll be fine. They're both mostly about the grazing.
