Season turns

Today we went for a gentle ride out on the common. Zorro and I discovered as we wandered out that we weren't particularly in a mood for a long adventure and more wanted an easy-going mooch.

The weather was cooler than yesterday but still bright and the leaves are just appearing in bright sprays around the birch trees. Blackthorn is bright with blossom in the hedgerows and there are flowers everywhere. In a week or two the leaves will be out and we'll be set for summer, but right now it's pretty much the turning point for the season. A nice day to be out.

Thank you! Poetry is something I used to do, but lately not so much. I think it always felt quite pretentious so I kind of cut down...
